Passion Never Retires for Jérémi Dubroca

The thing that I love the most about my work is using my imagination to be someone else and trying to understand this new character.

My idea of perfect happiness is when you’re at peace with yourself, doing what you love, being  with the people you love. It’s all about love.

My greatest fear is to lose this love that makes me happy.

The trait that I most deplore in myself is my laziness frome time to time.

In my profession, I admire people who keep their integrity and respect the others.

My greatest extravagance is my wiseness.

On what occasion would I lie? On stage!

In my work, I hate people who treat other people like slaves, but unfortunately it happens…

In my work, I’m the happiest when I’m on stage and everything’s going well, a good film, great partners and a great team to make the best film as possible.

I’d change nothing about myself.

My greatest achievement hasn’t happened yet, but for now it’s my first character in the movie “La méthode Beddington” (film in post production phase).

The financial freedom to create doesn’t really mean anything to me because I don’t think about it while I’m creating, and the fact that you’re free financially speaking doesn’t mean that you’ll create something good.

I wouldn’t mind living anywhere as long as I’m with the people I love.

My most treasured possession is my life, with all the love that I get, and all the love I try to give.

My most marked characteristic is my singularity, I know that it’s a paradox.

My most inspirational location is “le parc des tuileries” in Paris.

My favorite place to eat and drink is the “Abbesses” quarter in Paris.

The book that influenced my life the most was “Unlimited power” by Anthony Robbins, it gave me some keys to evolve and believe in myself even when I’m going through a hard time.

My favorite writer is Marcel Pagnol.

On my last day, I’d listen to the greatest hits of soul music.

My hero in fiction is Robin hood, who took from rich people to give it to poor ones.

My heroines in real life are the women of my life, my mother, my grand mothers and my girlfriend.

It’s not original but, if I had to recommend one single movie, it would be Forrest Gump.

Art is my life.

My greatest fan is my mother.

In 2018, I would like to work with Julia Ducourneau and Albert Dupontel, and all the people who would like to work with me.

In 2018, I’d like to meet Leonardo Dicaprio.

For 2018, I’m going to work on two short films that I wrote.

“Passion never retires” means to me that there’s no other way to live. “If you do what you love, you won’t have the impression that you’re actually working any single day in your life”.
