What is the best thing that I love about my work? The ability to, meet and connect with different human beings all over the world. Also , the fact that I get to express myself and hopefully inspire others.
What is my idea of perfect happiness? For me, happiness not a destination it’s a road. So I find happiness in the smallest things. But music ,dance and art are definitely on top of the list.
What is my greatest fear? Like many creatives, I get anxiety about certain aspects of what I do . But Ive learned to embrace most of my fears.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? I tend to overthink a lot. But Ive also learned to appreciate that about myself.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? I would say a lot of my friends inspire me the most.
What is my greatest extravagance? My blackness, my queerness!
On what occasion would I lie? I used to lie sometimes to not hurt people’s feelings but Ive realised the truth is the only way to not hurt other people or yourself.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? The fact that it has become more and more about trends than talent.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? everytime I am surrounded by talented individuals who not only inspire me but help me grow.
If I could, what would I change about myself? Im always looking to grow. and growth is change .so I guess I would change nothing unless it helps me become a better person.
What is my greatest achievement in work? Whenever Ive inspired people through my work.
What do the words ‘The Financial Freedom to Create’ mean to me? The privilege to create the art that you want without having to worry about the financial aspect of things. I haven’t enjoyed that privilege yet but Im working on it.
Where would I most like to live? Ideally in a place with lots of sun but I also love big cities. too many to choose.
What is my most treasured possession? my heart
What is my most marked characteristic? I would say my kindness
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? in Amsterdam I would say the canals during the summer.
What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? In Amsterdam, Terrazen (amazing vegan restaurant with carribean dishes). In London : cook daily in Shoreditch
What books influenced my life and how? A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle I would recommend everyone to read it.
Who are my favorite writers? James Baldwin He told stories that needed to be told even to this day. I love poetry too , I enjoy Nayyirah Waheed.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? probably some timeless music like Sade or Stevie Wonder.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? All my heroes are non-fictional.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? My mother , artists I would say Jean Michel Basquiat , Nina Simone, Grace Jones.
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind

What project, in 2018, am I looking forward to work on? Getting work started in various parts of Africa but the most important project is myself and my growth as an artist and human being.
