What is the best thing that I love about my work? The way I draw eyes and the naked female form.
What is my idea of perfect happiness? A bond with someone that can never ever be broken. A trust so deep that it could shake the foundations of galaxies. That would be pure power and pure happiness in one.
What is my greatest fear? I’m not admitting that publicly.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? My mercy and overwhelming empathic abilities. They are a blessing and a curse.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? In the art world, every single woman who wakes up one day and decides to be a Faery Artist. Goddess bless you all, this genre is insane. In the acting world, hmmm…probably Aquaman/Jason Momoa- I hear he is quite the gentleman and he has a beautiful family!
What is my greatest extravagance? My pride.
On what occasion would I lie? To protect the innocent or to shelter a child or animal in distress. In most circumstances, I do not like to lie. It feels physically gross.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? That it often tells the viewer things about me that I am not aware of. I’m not sure how to feel about that honestly. It’s a double-edged sword. You need to open up inside in order to tap into something REAL, but in the process you reveal intimate things about your thoughts and feelings that you might not necessarily ever talk about out loud.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? Around 2014. I was still hopelessly naive and very chubby, but full of dreams too big to carry and my art was a place of childlike wonder. I’m trying to get back there, because I feel that maybe that is what it feels like to live in the lands of the Sidhe & Faerie.
If I could, what would I change about myself? I decided that I wanted to change my life and so I did- I lost 100 lbs and now I’m auditioning for acting roles. If you want change, you need to be that change. Every single human being on this planet has that willpower inside of them as a birthright, so use it. Don’t ever let outside influences belittle you into a life of bloated complacency.
What is my greatest achievement in work? Showing my faery piece “Something Exotic & Intriguing II” on a massive digital billboard art installation in Times Square NYC as part of a group show in 2012. Getting to the second round out of thousands in American Idol 2004 singing “Edge of Seventeen” by the White Witch, Stevie Nicks.
Where would I most like to live? In a grand manor house in the highlands of Ireland on the cliffs by the ocean. I want to be where the Faeries are…New Orleans would also be quite a nice place to live, very witchy. I’d fit right in.
What is my most treasured possession? My Soul.
What is my most marked characteristic? Depends on who you ask haha.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? The ocean. I absolutely ADORE the ocean.
What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? Victoria’s in Rehoboth Beach on the boardwalk. Love love love that place.
What books influenced my life and how? ANYTHING written by HP Lovecraft…Howard Phillip you eldritch playa! When I was a teen and for the majority of my young adult life, “Phantom” by Susan Kay and the literary classic “Phantom of the Opera” by Gaston Leroux had in incredibly deep effect on me. Also for some reason, I was allowed to read the “VAMPHYRI” series by Brian Lumley as a pre-teen, so if you’ve ever read Lumley you know how that went…
Who are my favorite writers? HP Lovecraft, Lewis Carroll.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? Well I believe in reincarnation, quantum ascension, and active immortality, so to not be facetious, what is my go-to music? Definitely Ghost (La Mantra Mori), Therion (Gothic Kaballah), Nightwish (Century Child), or Uncle Rob Zombie (I won’t put his newest album name here because it is naughty).
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Leeloo Dallas from The Fifth Element.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? Mother Teresa & Princess Diana (RIP)
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? AKIRA.
What role plays art in my life and work? Haha…well, it certainly helps me cause trouble.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? Every single person that takes the time to like or comment on my FB fanpage or my FineArtAmerica print shop. Thank you! I love you!
Whom would I like to work with in 2018? I always look forward to creating themed artworks alongside the incredibly talented artists of Enchanted Visions every month.
What project, in 2018, am I looking forward to work on? I have a few ‘projects’ in the works, some that have been in incubation for years, that I look forward to working on. I must by necessity be vague, so that’s all I can say for the moment.
Where can you see me or my work in 2018? I will be livestreaming on my Periscope account, flooding my FB fanpage with Sidhe Queen Oracle sketches and the occasional fanart or WHIMSY kawaii artwork, but honestly I mostly see myself just causing a lot of trouble in 2018.
What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me? Passion burns like a fire inside your Soul, and if you feed it from the inside then that fire will never go out. That force is the key to bringing any idea or inspiration from the invisible to the visible world through art, song, dance or any other form of creativity. I don’t know about you but that sounds pretty goshdarn magical to me. Embrace that feeling and take off like the wind!…or whatever. You get the idea.
