What is the best thing that I love about my work?

Since I started painting when I was a little girl, it brought me great interests and joy. Moreover, it gives me strength, inner peace, emotion and confidence.

I enjoy using rich and bright colors on various geometric shapes to create my own magic colorful world. That’s the unique way to express my inner self, and how I worship the Mother Earth.

What is my idea of perfect happiness?

Peaceful mind, satisfied and carefree life, and freely fill colors on the canvas.

What is my greatest fear?

Loose the passion for my life – Art comes from life experiences of. However, the reality sometimes kills artists’ creativities and imaginations silently…

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?

Laziness! It sometimes caused me to fail to complete some tasks in time, and wasted time.

Which living persons in my profession do I most admire?

Intelligent, humble, and kind artists who not hesitate to share their valuable experiences.

What is my greatest extravagance?

Be able to do what I love most every day: painting, chatting with close friends, enjoying a cup of espresso, and travelling in countries fascinated me

On what occasion would I lie?

Necessary white lies to prevent me from hurting people’s feelings.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?

Painting under unnecessary pressures.

Any artist’s work reflects his/her emotions and minds. I enjoy working on my pieces freely. They represent my true self.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?

Working on my piece on the small folding table in my cozy room, and accompanied with my favorite music and a cup of coffee. It always brings me such a good mood and joy~

If I could, what would I change about myself?

I wish I could know what my dreams is when I were much younger, and I could have the courage to pursue it without any hesitation.

What is my greatest achievement in work?

When people being touched by my paintings, and feel happy, joyful and inspired. Or being moved by the beauty of the Mother Earth, and enriched by the spiritual harmony.

Where would I most like to live?

I want to live in a beautiful island surrounded by the endless blue ocean and big sky. Or a gorgeous county with picturesque scenery, like Switzerland. That would be a heaven for me who always have a great love for the nature.

What is my most treasured possession?

My families, friendship and the great passion for painting.

What is my most marked characteristic?

Being brave, determined, and kind.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?

Any place in the world could inspire me and expand my imagination!!

What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city?

My parents are the best cooks in the world!! They can make any kind of food as long as you can name it.

What books influenced my life and how?

“The Story of Art” by Prof E.H Gombrich.

I read this book when I was in high school, it inspired me to discover more about the history of art, and started appreciating different kinds of art and artists. Since then, I started collecting books about artist biography, painting techniques, art history, and modern art.

Who are my favorite writers?

I believe a good book can touch us, move us, and bring us endless imagination. Any writer can inspire me and unleash my imagination could be my favorite writer.

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day?

Tropical House, Sia, and any music can make me feel relaxed.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?

Wonder Woman

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?

For people who work hard and devote themselves completely for family, and who spend time, money or any types of supports to the minorities.

Which movie would I recommend to see once in a lifetime?

Too many classic movies worth to see such as, “The Shawshank Redemption”

What role plays art in my life and work?

Art is a great media to present our emotions. The process of creating a piece of art

reflects the inner emotions and the sense of beauty. Addition to it, we are healed from releasing the emotions.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?

My families, my friends and my fans online from all over the world who admire my works.

Whom would I like to work with in 2018?

This year, I attended two Art Fairs, and few Joint Exhibitions in Taiwan and all over the world. It was my honor to show my art work with so many outstanding and great artists. I had a chance to meet some of them that expended my horizons. It was such a wonderful life experience for me!

Which people in my profession would I love to meet in 2018?

I hope I can meet someone who really appreciates my art work, and can assist me and provide a great and long-term plan for my career.

What project, in 2018, am I looking forward to work on?

I will have two solo exhibitions coming this August and December in Taiwan. Also, I’m invited in the Joint Exhibition at YuKyung Are Museum in Geoje City this September in South Korea.

Which creative heroines should Peter invite to tell their story?

I would like to share with you one of my close friends since 5th grade, Laura Lo.

Laura is an assistant professor of Computer Science at Diablo Valley College in California. She had her master degrees in Computer Engineering and Transportation Engineering. Laura had been worked as a software engineer and project manager over 15 years, and she taught CS programming and college math courses since 2008.

Laura has great passion to work with students came from diverse cultural and educational background. She enjoys supporting them to pursue their academic goals and develop their career plans, especially for the minority.
