What is the best thing that I love about my work?
Lavoro in un’associazione culturale che si chiama Tapirulan. Prevalentemente organizziamo mostre di illustrazione e pubblichiamo cataloghi e libri. Direi che l’aspetto migliore di questo lavoro è la possibilità di lavorare con persone creative e stimolanti.
I work in a cultural association called Tapirulan. We mainly organize exhibitions of illustration and publish catalogs and books. I would say that the best aspect of this work is the possibility of working with creative and stimulating people.
What is my idea of perfect happiness?

Credo di essere stato il più grande collezionista al mondo di cartoni di pizza usati.

Quando sono in ritardo e quando combino qualche casino.

La sedentarietà.

Quando posso fantasticare e immaginarmi nuovi progetti.

Vorrei essere più coraggioso.

What is my greatest achievement in work?
Non so s e può definirsi un successo, però quello che mi ha dato più soddisfazione è stato realizzare il progetto “Aiuto mi sono perso”, in cui si raccontavano le principali località turistiche della mia zona. Sono stati coinvolti anche 35 bravissimi illustratori ed è stata allestita una mostra molto bella al Museo del Violino di Cremona.
I do not know whether it can be defined as a success, but what gave me more satisfaction was the realization of the project “Aiuto mi sono perso” (help, I’m lost), in which we talk about the main tourist villages of my area. 35 talented illustrators were also involved and a very beautiful exhibition was set up at the Cremona Violin Museum

Non è proprio in città, ma un po’ fuori. Si chiama Trattoria Gianna.

Il primo è “Tre uomini in barca” di Jerome K Jerome, perché mi ha fatto scoprire che leggere poteva anche essere divertente. Poi “I miserabili” di Victor Hugo e “Il conte di Montecristo” di Alexandre Dumas, perché mi hanno fatto viaggiare nella storia.

Non saprei, gli eroi non mi appassionano molto. Forse Braccio di Ferro perché è un’eroe goffo, ma ruspante, che soccorre le fanciulle in pericolo. Anch’io ho sempre sognato di poter salvare una fanciulla in pericolo.
I do not know, the heroes do not fascinate me too much. Perhaps Popeye because he is a clumsy hero, but a free-range hero, who helps the girls in danger. I too have always dreamed of being able to save a girl in danger.

Ce ne sarebbero tantissimi… Forse sceglierei “Amici miei” di Mario Monicelli perché è divertente ma amaro, e perché trasmette il senso di una grande amicizia.

L’8 dicembre inaugurerà la mostra “CAOS”, frutto di un concorso che organizza Tapirulan, la mia associazione. Non so ancora dire come saranno i lavori in mostra perché il concorso è ancora aperto, ma non vedo l’ora di vederli. A fianco della mostra del concorso ci sarà quella di Mordillo, che penso sarà meravigliosa.
On December 8th the CAOS exhibition will be inaugurated, the result of a competition that organizes Tapirulan, my association. I can’t not say now how the works on display will be because the competition is still open, but I’m looking forward to see them. Next

Just this year I have just published a book written with Roberto Stradiotti. It is called “Appetiti storici” (Historical appetites) and tells briefly and with irony the history of food. Among other things, it is illustrated by one of my favorite authors: Guido Scarabottolo. You can find it here:
